Yes — technically, not just by policy. Simpel3D uses WebAssembly (WASM), which runs entirely inside your browser. Your file is read from your disk, converted, and written back — all without any network request. You can verify this by opening browser DevTools → Network tab during a conversion. Zero network activity.

Input: STEP (.step, .stp), IGES (.iges, .igs), STL (.stl), OBJ (.obj), 3MF (.3mf). Output: STL, OBJ, 3MF. We don't support conversion back to STEP or IGES — that's reverse engineering, not conversion, and no tool does it reliably.

If your STEP file is larger than your plan's limit, Simpel3D automatically splits it into individual parts and gives you a ZIP with each piece ready to print. You don't need to do anything — it happens automatically. This is often more useful than a single merged file anyway.

After every conversion, Simpel3D shows a quick health summary: whether the mesh is watertight (ready to print without errors), the dimensions in mm, the triangle count, and the volume in cm³. This saves you from opening a slicer only to discover the file has problems.

Free tier: personal use only. Standard and Pro tiers include a commercial use license — you can sell prints, deliver client work, or use outputs in commercial products. The Day Pass also includes commercial use for its 24-hour window.

Cancel anytime through Stripe's customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep access until then. No partial refunds.
